Inside Air France’s New Heathrow Lounge: YTC Takes a Look

News & views across travel

YTC recently had the pleasure of visiting Air France’s new lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 4.

As a valued YTC airline partner, Air France plays an important role in helping us offer our clients greater choice and connectivity, so we were excited to experience its latest investment in the passenger journey first-hand.

Opened in July 2026, the lounge is Air France’s first dedicated lounge at Heathrow. Covering more than 750m² and offering almost 150 seats, it has been designed to give eligible travellers a comfortable space to relax, dine or catch up on work before their flight.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Stepping inside, the lounge feels bright, spacious and unmistakably Air France. The airline’s signature blue, white and red feature throughout.

Large windows overlooking the runway bring plenty of natural light into the lounge, while carefully selected furnishings create a smart but relaxed environment.

For business travellers in particular, we liked the balance between spaces designed for switching off and those intended for getting things done. There’s a dedicated workspace, plenty of power sockets and USB charging points, free Wi-Fi and a separate relaxation area for travellers looking for some peace and quiet before boarding.

A TASTE OF FRANCE AT HEATHROW

Food and drink are naturally a big part of the experience.

At the heart of the lounge is a dining area seating around 60 guests, with a selection of hot and cold dishes, sweet and savoury choices and vegetarian options. Air France says its menus prioritise local and seasonal produce where possible.

There’s also a staffed bar serving champagne, French wines and spirits – a fitting touch for a lounge designed to introduce passengers to a little French hospitality before they’ve even left London.

PRE-FLIGHT WELLBEING

One of the lounge’s standout features is its dedicated Clarins treatment area, where eligible guests can enjoy complimentary treatments including Anti Jet-Lag, L’Instant Detox and Focus Regard.

Air France has also created dedicated areas for its premium customers. La Première passengers have access to an exclusive five-seat area with runway views and in-seat dining, while Flying Blue Ultimate members have their own quieter four-seat space.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR BUSINESS TRAVEL

For YTC clients travelling between the UK and France – or connecting onwards through Paris-Charles de Gaulle – the new lounge is a welcome addition to the Heathrow experience.

Air France operates multiple daily services between Heathrow and Paris-CDG, opening up onward connections across its extensive international network. The lounge is open daily from 5am until 10pm and welcomes eligible Air France, KLM and SkyTeam passengers.

Our visit showed that this isn’t simply somewhere to wait for a flight. Whether the priority is answering those final emails, enjoying something to eat or finding a quiet corner before travelling, Air France has created a polished new option for eligible travellers departing Terminal 4.

We’re proud to work with Air France as a YTC partner and to see continued investment in the experience offered to our business travellers.
